Through the Eco Portfolio, Kalmar can contribute to at least two of the environmental objectives of the EU Taxonomy regulation: climate change mitigation and the transition to a circular economy. The EU Taxonomy enables companies to share a common definition of economic activities that can be considered environmentally sustainable.
According to the updated criteria, all Kalmar’s Eco Portfolio equipment needs to have a life-cycle assessment (LCA) done and verified by a third party.
