We recognise that, through our value chain, our business likely contributes to biodiversity loss. To increase our understanding of our impacts, we will conduct a biodiversity impact assessment during 2024.
We also monitor air pollution, spills, and environmental non-compliance in our own operations. Few air pollutants are emitted from our own operations, and they are mainly generated from diesel combustion and machine painting. Diesel is used for machine testing and as fuel in part of our service fleet which is not yet using electric vehicles. The biggest part of air pollutants emissions are generated through diesel combustion in other parts of the value chain, such as during the use of our equipment.
Our assembly processes are not water intensive, and water is only used for domestic, not industrial purposes. In our daily operations, the ISO 14001 environmental management system provides guidance on how to manage the company’s local environmental impacts.
